This case is part of the Giving Voice to Values (GVV) curriculum. To see other material in the GVV curriculum, please visit http://store.darden.virginia.edu/giving-voice-to-values. A social enterprise facilitates the donation and redistribution of software products to other nonprofits. Its biggest donor company asks the CEO to supply only its products and not those of its competitors, which directly conflicts with the values of the social enterprise and its founder. The case set deals with donor relations, upholding the values and mission of an organization even under pressure, communications, balancing social mission and scale, and understanding competitive advantages. These cases work well in nonprofit management, CSR, organizational behavior, leadership, and ethics courses, as well as in stand-alone workshops.
