In this case, a student in a "Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship" (FME) class struggles to overcome exclusionary and degrading behavior from her business team. She has been confident and outspoken, trying to be sure that her voice and the voices of the other women on her team are heard and respected, but some of the men on her team seem to be undermining her social and academic reputation, perhaps because of how assertive she's been. She needs to find a way to influence her teammates' behavior and advocate for herself, but is not sure what she can do. This case works well in diversity, organizational behavior, power and influence, entrepreneurship, management communications, and ethics courses, as well as in stand-alone workshops
