This is a Spanish translation of the October 21, 2016 version of UVA-OB-1144. This case is part of the Giving Voice to Values (GVV) curriculum. To see other material in the GVV curriculum, please visit http://store.darden.virginia.edu/giving-voice-to-values. In this case, an undergraduate intern working to assess the impact of one of a sponsoring corporation’s CSR projects in rural India is asked not to report on the financial mismanagement and other negative findings she encounters. It deals with cross-cultural assignments, corruption, communications, CSR, projects that are disconnected from headquarters, stakeholder relationships, and short-term versus long-term implications. This case works well with undergraduates, especially as preparation for intern assignments. It also works well in cross-cultural communications and CSR classes.
